Suspect bolt on Lord of the Rings - Lower Silvermine

Post by Heinrich1981 »

Hi Everyone,

Went climbing at lower Silvermine today and the hanger of bolt number 9 on Lord of the Rings is loose. My partner also noticed that the nut on bolt 9 is loose.

As bolt number 9 protects a tricky move, I urge everyone attempting this route to be very careful.

If you want to be really careful, maybe try a #17 spanner?

When tightening bolts, please tighten, but do not over over crank it - this can damage the bolt :thumright

Yip, just keep one in the bottom of your bag. They are cheaper than carabiners & really come in handy.
