The MCSA have a new logo out - I like it, its steadily growing on me

Funny how there is no mountain in the picture.

Fair point, the old logo (below) didn't have a mountain either.

And to the flowers credit: The species Disa uniflora is a spectacular red orchid known as 'The Pride of Table Mountain'.

Xmod don't make a fuss now.

It's only take nearly 4 years for that to get approved. If you now want a mountain it would take another 4 years to decide which mountain and another 4 to decide from which perspective it would be shown on the logo

Jest having a poke, flowers are pretty. When I release the updated guide to Hellfire in a year or so (30th anniversary of the crag - mein Gott! Where did the time go?? ) people will probably be a bit confused as to whether it is a climbing guide or flower book too! - Loads of prettiness!

The new logo is pretty cool really, clean, simple and striking - exactly what a logo should be. Old one was way too fussy and detailed to be really versatile as a graphic (yes I am a designer in case you were wondering).

Oh but I think you are getting ahead of yourselves...

That Logo is purportedly for Banners and Marketing....the other one is still the letterhead apparently... that was the gist of what I was told - it could have changed since then - maybe the MCSA will know

there is a pdf of variations of the new logo for all occasions and the old one will no longer be used as far as I know

Correct - all are variants of the new logo.

Makes sense. A logo is supposed to fit any and all sizes and forms of display. That's partly why simple is better
