Mount Everest - Harrismith

Post by AndrewV »

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know, Mount Everest in Harrismith is open and very climber friendly.

They're in the process of fixing and renovating chalets (Arendskop and a few others are complete) and will soon start on the camp site.

I was there this weekend and had a great time, Kobus and Megan are super nice and have put a lot of time and effort into fixing the place up.

Was awesome!! Took 5 hours to solo FYEO!! Pitch 5 was a lot harder that it should have been, but I was starting to get a bit tired. Felt great after! They put up a game fence between Arendskop and FYEO, but after a few minutes debating whetherecis was electrified, it was easily scaled. Epic mission!!! Def going to do another one!!
