We have an exciting opportunity for two highly experienced Operations Managers to join our client’s team at their very fast-paced adventure activity company. We are seeking someone with an adventurous spirit who is ready to take on the challenge of managing a 7-day-a-week operation.

As Operations Managers, you will need to be highly organized and capable of multitasking, with a strong passion for working with people and a keen attention to detail. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a tenacious attitude, and have a proven track record of leadership, you could be the perfect fit for their team.

This role will require you to relocate to Plettenberg Bay and Tsitsikamma, two of the most breathtaking locations in the world. Previous experience in adventure activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, ziplining, rafting, or team building, along with a good understanding of adventure equipment, is essential.

As the Operations Managers, your responsibilities will include managing and implementing training for the technical crew, as well as conducting competency assessments. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of Bridge Operations and utilize your exceptional leadership skills to manage the operational team.
In addition, you will work towards streamlining departmental systems, policies, and procedures to continuously improve our operations and ensure efficiency.

OPERATIONS
Responsible for the Occupational Health and Safety on the bridge.
Mitigation, Assessment, and Development of Emergency Plans, Protocols and Procedures
Responsible for quarterly PGI’s (Planned General Inspection) and log.
Trouble shooting / Problem solving: identify and manage problems.
Create and implement a Training & Assessment Program for all crew.
Training & Assessment Manual to be passed up the line for review prior to finalization & implementation. Must be signed off by GM, CEO and Directors.
Develop a system to record all training done with each staff member.
Responsible for Safety & Equipment Audits & Assessments
Quality control of equipment, systems
Ensuring that the standards of the Company are maintained.

EQUIPMENT
Timeous reports to Technical Ops Manager on stock /equipment levels
Equipment Inspections
Establishing equipment criteria
R&D on new/advanced products that could improve efficiencies of the operation.
Forward planning

ADMINISTRATION
System development: continually looking at improving daily operations.
Constant analysis, development and implementation of training and assessment protocols
Responsible for the development of company training manuals and policies
All company manuals to be signed off by GM, CEO and Directors
Weekly and monthly reports to General Manager and CEO

TRAINING and HR FUNCTIONS
Training and mentoring crew
Skills Development Plan: putting personnel progressive plans in place to ensure growth and advancement of individual crew members.
Maintain personnel training records
Work together with General Manager and Technical Ops
Manager to plan staff training within the daily requirements and logistical running of the operation.
Involved in all staff welfare management and building team effectiveness.
Need to be comfortable and aware of disciplinary procedures that need to be followed and be prepared to implement these whenever necessary.
Working within company policies, disciplinary procedures and code of conduct.

REPORTING
Weekly updates, monthly progress reports
Reporting to General Manager & CEO should there be any issues
