Good day!
I somehow managed to lose a rope on Josef's Birthday Party on Weasel Wall (Paarl) yesterday.
We were using 2 ropes to sail down from the top rather than bundu-bash through the flora, and instead of opting to carry the 2nd superfluous rope on my back, I thought it might be easier to just drag it along behind me. Reaching the top of the 3rd pitch by the little record book (1st pitch of the Garden Route), I found that the rope somehow got stuck on something and no amount of pulling, yanking, lowering down and pulling from a different angle or anything else we tried got the damn thing loose. Our second rope was a tad too short to get down to the place where it actually got stuck. In frustration, and fearing the sun going down on us, I tied the end of the rope to a bolt.
Far be it from any climber to say that what he abandons on the rock is still his property, but if anyone should find a 70m mammut rope on Josef's Birthday Party: It would at the very least be worth a case of beer (or your choice of intoxicant) to me if it was returned.
Rope pictured below, tied off the the right bolt.

I guess I'm not the only one who'd be interested in more of the story if you're willing to share.
-how was it stuck
-how did you free it
-anything else interesting?
