Since 2023 I've been picking up the sparse threads of climbing in Angola. Myself and a handful of others are leading development in Pedras Negras, Serra da Leba, Sumbe and Conda. There's massive potential for climbing here and we have a number of climbing and bolting trips planned for this year's climbing season (March-Oct), with Angola's first climbing festival planned for late August 2024. We're also working with local kids/youth in the villages around the rock to get them involved in climbing. I'm updating the country page on Mountain Project with our new routes and I'll be adding them to thecrag.com as well.
