Looking for info for the kloofing trip from De Hel to Saron.
Are ropes required?
Are floating devices recommend.

Hi Justin,
I did the trip in 2017. It Was a bit of an epic getting through vegetation (it took like 10 hours to cover the 9km down the river ), but other than that there were no serious difficulties. You don't need ropes but a flotation device would have been useful.

Did it once many years ago. Upper section is nice with good pools. No ropes needed. Pools are small so no long swims or anything. Lower section is rocky river. Kind of floatable. There is a nice beach campsite somewhere along this section on river left.
