Eagles at Bronkies

Post by davidb » Sun May 27, 2018 6:43 pm

We heard from others that the eagles are nesting well outside of the Eagle Sector at Bronkies, we went there to climb today and someone else climbing said they spotted the birds on a ledge somewhere above joint venture looking like they could be nesting there. I am not sure where the original thread is but lets get this cleared up and the wiki adjusted if need be to protect both the Birds and the access to a rather convenient climbing spot.

Has anyone else spotted them or have a better exact idea where they are nesting so it can also be marked off till they are done...

For now keep an eye and ear out if you are climbing there and give them their space if you see them.

Hi yes they seem to be nesting there.
Climbers are asked not to climb within 20 m either side of the nest site, which is between Wild Apricot and Joint Venture.
We are waiting to see if they settle here for the season, then will put up signs.
Also keep noise down and try avoid taking dogs that might unnerve them.
Please keep us posted on their whereabouts: admin@jhb.mcsa.org.za
