Legoland multiple drill holes
Hi All,
Does anyone know what happened here (see photos)?
I saw this yesterday for the first time - it's at Legoland, Montagu.

Re: Legoland multiple drill holes
I noticed two new bolts to the right of Eddy of Bovidence. Looked like a variation. Same person maybe?

Re: Legoland multiple drill holes
Looks like someone was trying to test a drill battery
Re: Legoland multiple drill holes
I believe Oan was the one who bolted the new line and a rep showing off a drill was the one to drill the multiple holes. The multiple holes have since been filled in.
Re: Legoland multiple drill holes

Thanks to whoever cleaned up the mess

Re: Legoland multiple drill holes
Has the rep and his chaperone been given a good PK?
I certainly hope so!
WTF were they thinking!

Hectic! Those holes look horrible. Just to clarify (as I got some confused private messages):illona wrote: Mon Feb 21, 2022 2:14 pm I believe Oan was the one who bolted the new line and a rep showing off a drill was the one to drill the multiple holes. The multiple holes have since been filled in.
I did not drill these hole in the above photos, it was the rep.
The two new bolts used in Eddy's direct variation I put in as made publicly known here last year.
Hope this clarifies

And the rep just happened to be in Montagu, taking a walk to Legoland all on his own, and decided to take his drill for a walk.

Re: Legoland multiple drill holes
And couldn't drill holes in a loose rock from the billions in the river?
Happy climbing

Please would you send me the name of the rep in question.
Q: How do you know that the holes were drilled by the rep?
Thanks
Furthermore to Everyone - please note, Legoland is closed to bolting.
The same applies to the whole of Boschkloof.

Re: Legoland multiple drill holes
To clarify: No bolting at Legoland or anywhere in Boschkloof.
If you want to bolt in Montagu but are unclear of whose property you are on, please ask or edcutate yourself.
FYI: The owners of Boschkloof have given ARF (MCSA Anchor Replacement Fund) permission to replace bolts in Boschkloof. ARF will carry this out using Glue-in bolts only.

Explanation and apology owed to the climbing community, no? We all suffer when crags are closed due to individuals who think rules/logic does not apply to them.
