Climbing Trip SA, Mar-Oct 2024

Hi all.

I am planning a climbing trip from beginning Mar 2024 - end Oct 2024, and am looking for climbing partner(s) who would like to join.

The rough plan is (starting from Jhb):

Boven: Mar - 1 month
Oudtshoorn: Apr - 1 month.
Montague: May - 1 month.
Rockands: Jun - Aug, 3 months.
Cape Town: Sep - Oct, 2 months.

Bouldering only at Rocklands, otherwise sport climbing with some trad on table mountain (I don't have any trad gear though).

Any climber taking a gap year in 2024 and would like to climb pretty much full time, please contact me if you would like to join, or if you already have a plan to climb and would enjoy the company of another climber. My plan is very flexible, and am happy to climb pretty much any areas, so long as the travel is not backwards and forwards all over the place.

If someone is keen to join for the whole year, I can extend the dates of the trip. If I can't find anyone to join, I'll reduce the dates to May-Sep, and just do Montague, Rocklands and CT, taking pot luck as I go.

Ideally, I'm looking for someone who is able to climb sport routes 2 days on - 1 day rest, as I will need to do work on rest days so we would need to match climbing and rest days. For bouldering I can do 1 day on, 1 day rest, but of course it's not critical we match climbing days here.

The nature of my work requires me to be in an area with cell signal Mon - Fri during work hours - I can get support calls (not many, fortunately, and generally doesn't take more than 5-10 mins to resolve).

A bit about me: I'm male, been climbing 16 years. I've sent 8a sport and currently project up to 8b. I'm not fussed what sport grade you climb, so long as you have sufficient belay experience and skill level, I'm good to go.
