Alpha Excelsior Guest Farm & The Hen House
Alpha Excelsior Guest Farm offers self-catering accommodation in Rocklands. The accommodation on the farm consists of five options – two delightful cottages, the Cape Dutch homestead or the Old Farm House as well as six fully equipped retro caravans. All guests have access to the sparkling swimming pool, several hiking trails and a visit to the farm’s country winery. You can book donkey cart trips by prior arrangement. Rocklands bouldering areas and numerous San Rock Art sites are within easy driving distance.
Weavers Cottage (sleeps 4)
A beautiful restored thatched Cape cottage sleeps two guests (extra guests on double sleeper couch). Perfect for an enchanting, romantic getaway; totally private, surrounded by mountain views. The cottage has a double bedroom, bathroom with open plan living area and kitchen. The kitchen has a wood burning stove and beautiful stoep with outside braai area. The cottage is fully equipped, bedding and towels are provided.
Homestead (sleeps 9)
A charming Cape Dutch homestead which sleeps up to eight guests. There are two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, an attic room with four single beds and a third bathroom downstairs. There is an open plan living area and kitchen with a Dover stove ,outside braai and stoep with beautiful views of the mountains.
Old Farm House (sleeps 10)
Full of character and charm, the Old Farm House is over 100 years old and sleeps up to 8 guests. One bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, three bedrooms with shared bathroom. There is a large farmhouse kitchen with Dover stove, a beautiful outside stoep and a braai area.
Riverside Cottage (sleeps 1-3)
Riverside Cottage is a beautifully designed wooden, stone clad cottage ideal for couples on a romantic getaway. The Cottage is situated away from the Farm buildings and offers privacy and spectacular views. The cottage is open-plan with a double bed, a single bed, an eating area and kitchenette, with a separate bathroom and shower. There is a large shaded stoep equipped with a braai place and seating area.
6 x Retro Caravans (sleeps 1-2)
The caravans live in a shady spots situated behind the Winery, with beautiful views of spring flowers and surrounding mountains. They are fully equipped with cooking facilities, double bed, eating and sitting area, braai and shared bathroom and shower.
Note: All cottages are self- catering and have fully equipped kitchens. Bedding and towels are provided.
