St James Peak was one of our least eventful hikes. Nobody got lost, nobody got scared, and Alison didn’t even fall on her backside once. Also, we didn’t really find the peak of St James’s Peak.

Whaddaya know? Two sunset hikes in a row. It was something of a miracle that our Devils Peak hike was done at all, since it was a Thezday, and Alison wanted to Phuza.
This was our first attempt at an afternoon hike, none of us was particularly thrilled about it because it was a darned hot and humid. Complaining only lasted until we started up Blinkwater Ravine.
This walk was pronounced “far too easy” by everyone, except Alison, who argued and grumbled the entire way from the Rhodes Mem parking lot up to the blockhouse.
